Inter Allies FC played a fine game to secure a sweet victory at home over AshantiGold in the 12 week fixture of Ghana premier league played on Wednesday. Dennis Agyare Antwi opened the score sheets just 18 minutes into the first half when the home team pushed hard to get an early goal.The eleven is to one boys maintained their composure and avoided petty mistakes to end the first half 1-0 in their favour despite some pressure from the opponents from Obuasi.
The 2nd half saw Ashgold make some few attempts in the Allies area but they failed to get the ball in the net. Inter Allies then took control of the game and mounted pressure on AshantiGold, playing almost the last 25 minutes in the half of the visitors.
A beautiful ball work on right flank by Prosper Kassim and Dennis Agyare Antwi paid off in the 86th minutes when Prosper blasted home a goal mouth melee in the 18 yard box to end the game 2-0 in favour of Inter Allies FC. The victory comes at a good time when foreign scouts from Europe have come to visit Inter Allies in Tema.
