Inter Allies lose three straight games in the First Capital Plus Premier League after falling to Berekum Chelsea 2-1 at the Golden City Park on Wednesday to end the first round.

Niare Benogo’s 34th minute goal which opened the scoring of the game happened to be a consolation as Kofi Owusu and Richard Adjei struck in the second half to win the match for the hosts.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin made nine changes to the squad that lost by a lone goal to WAFA over the weekend, with Henry Yartey, Edward Adjaklo, Faisal Mohammed, Emmanuel  Nettey and Abass Mohammed all got their debuts for this season.

Fredrick Boateng with an early chance squandered exhibited the intentions of ‘Eleven Is To One’ they approached the game with high power and good attacking skills.

Even though Chelsea were a bit difficult to break through, Inter Allies managed to get through their defence several times asking a lot of questions until Niare Benogo broke the deadlock.

Fredrick Yamoah collected a pass from midfield and launched a tempting curling cross into Chekse’s box, the cross beat everyone except Niare Benogo who dummied his marker for a beautiful finish in the 34th minute.

Despite dominating and creating more chances after the opener, Inter Allies failed to increase the tally but held on to the slender lead until the break.

In the early embers after the recess, ‘Eleven Is To One’ continued from where they left in the first half and dominated proceedings.

However, the home side bounced back strongly and looked more purposeful. Their reward were two goals from Kofi Owusu in the 55th minute and Richard Adjei in the 64th minute.

They held on to sink Inter Allies after Paa Kwesi Fabin’s men who now lie 9th on the league log with 20 points after the end of the first round, apllied a lot of pressure.
