Match Summary – Dreams FC 1-1 Inter Allies – Dawu:
We started the second round of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season with a 1-1 draw at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
Richard Arthur’s first goal for the Club earned a very vital point for us after Joseph Esso shot his side ahead from the spot.
The technical team handed young defender Ivan Anokye Mensah his first game at right back as well as Gockel Ahortor starting in the middle.
Failing to settle quickly, Dreams had the better start we’d dream of, they were awarded a penalty in the 3rd minute.
Their talisman Joseph Esso made no mistake and slotted home the game’s opener in the 5th minute.
We had the zeal to fight back and dominated the play with some decent chances.
Richard Arthur was at a receiving end of a cross, he held the ball very well in the box placed it beautifully past the goalkeeper just 15 minutes into the game.
We kept pushing and could have gone ahead but again Richard Arthur’s strike was saved by the goalkeeper.
The first half ended with both sides not adding to the tally.
Dreams came in hard the second half, but we stood firm at the back and dealt with the threats from the home side at their favourite home grounds.
Andy Okpe had the first game under his belt in the 79th minute, coming on for Nafiu Sulemana.
The lanky striker made instant impact by setting up Abdul Nassiru Hamzah and Samuel Armah but both attackers went close to getting us the winner.
The back of the net was far from both sides and the tensed game ended 1-1.
