Inter Allies 1-1 Hearts of Oak – Accra:
Inter Allies shared the spoils with Hearts of Oak 1-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon to clear week 13 fixture of the ongoing league.
Samuel Armah got his 5th goal of the season, tapping in Victorien Adebayor’s cross in the first half but Mohammed Alhassan levelled for Hearts late in the second half.
The technical team made two changes with Hashmin Musah and Mohammed Zakari replacing Ernest Adu and Felix Abuska in the side that drew goalless with Ebusua Dwarfs last week.
It was a tough one for both sides from the beginning as they share the same venue. They settled quickly but it was the Phobians who took the game to Allies with early incursions.
Despite sitting back in most part of the first half, Allies got a better share of the scores in the half with Samuel Armah nothing in Victorien Adebayor’s cross in the 37th minute.
With a slender lead, Allies went to the break with smiles all over. The visitors on the day, Hearts bounced back in the second half with much more improved performance.
They pushed more for the equalizer and got rewarded in the 85th minute, Mohammed Alhassan slotted one in from a goalmouth melee after a free-kick was flown in.
Allies pushed on very late for the winner but it was a little too late to add to the tally and also prevented Hearts from adding as well.
Frank Assinki was named the NASCO man of the match.
