Inter Allies defender Ibrahim Alhassan insists the team must beat Aduana Stars to keep the league survival hopes alive.
The utility defender who has featured 10 times in the league for the team this season says the team is absolutely sure they’ll defeat the former Champions.
“Honestly we are one hundred percent sure that we can beat Aduana Stars,” he told the club’s official website.
“We are going to sit at the Tema Sports Stadium on Sunday to secure all three points, not draw, not lose, because we need the points to survive.”
“We will be going all out and aim for victory because we know the target we’ve set for ourselves.”
Alhassan also believes the fear of being relegated from the top flight has been a motivational tool for the players as they all want to avoid it.
“We don’t want to go back to the First Division, the scare of being relegated has spurred us to improve and play well.”
“You can see the impressive performance in the second round, we’ve been improving match-after-match. We don’t want to return to the second tier, we deserve to be in the top flighty that’s why we are fighting so hard to stay.”
Ibrahim says the team is aware of Aduana Stars as former Champions of the First Capital Plus Premier League but they have no trouble facing them, instead they want to beat them to boost their chances of survival.
“We are not intimidated because we are playing Aduana – former champions, we are playing in our own backyard and we will be strong, we have shown that we have the guts to beat big teams.”
“We lost to Hearts Of Oak at the Accra Sports stadium but Insha Allah we are going to beat Aduana Stars.
“The atmosphere in camp is high and this will reflect on the pitch on Sunday, we want to beat them to keep the hopes alive.”
With two games to go Inter Allies are 10th on the league with 37 points, three points above the drop and four points above the Amidaus who sit at the bottom.
