City Islanders defender Abass Mohammed was a second half substitute in Ghana’s 3-0 triumph over Saudi Arabia in an international friendly played in Jeddah.

The 19-year-old marked his debut for the Black Stars as he came on to replace Lumor Agbenyenu in the 72nd minute.

Abass did not disappoint with the few minutes he spent on the pitch.

The youngster played a part in Ghana’s final goal when he sent in a pass to John Antwi who found Ebenezer Ofori before the latter set up Thomas Partey to finish off with a superb strike.

Kwesi Appiah could hand the defender another opportunity in subsequent call-ups.
