Coming from the youth side of the club, Accra Youth SC, a certain Senior High School student Abdul-Halik Hudu will look at the just ended 20115/16 season with smiles and say, what just happened?

The 16-year-old fulfilled one of his dreams – to compete in the colors of his beloved club in the country’s topflight football, the Ghana Premier League, where he rocked shoulders with the big boys.

A friendly and down-to-earth and humble young lad, watching from the stands and probably the bench to study the game and learn from his seniors was mostly his plans when he got promotion to the main team.

The youngster had to wait till match day 7, at the Tema Sports Stadium against Bechem United. His role on the day was to play behind the main striker as he marked his debut with a starting role.

Even though he was substituted in the second half (70th minute), he was fantastic and exhibited top quality footballing skills, replicating his final years at the youth side where he was the deputy captain.

The league debutant was on cloud 9 on his 14th match day. Hudu clinched his fisrst ever professional goal at the Tema Sports Stadium in a 2-2 drawn game against Ebusua Dwarfs.

Starting 17 matches on his debut season as a young boy, Abdul-Halik Hudu would not have wished for a better start to his professional career.

At a very young age Abdul-Halick Hudu oozes class from the qualities he possesses, his passing range is very decent and very comfortable at controlling tempo and direction of a game.

With good positional knowledge and composure, makes direct run into the penalty area in order to get himself on the score sheet.

With time as he bids into his career, Abdul-Halik Hudu happens to be one for the future.
