Inter Allies defender Baba Mensah has revealed his delight after scoring his debut goal in his side’s 1-0 win over Wa All Stars on Sunday.
The Ghana U23 defender slotted home from the spot and earned the “Eleven Is To One” the full maximum points after going seven matches without a win.
However the tireless defender has admitted that the three points were more important than his own personal glory, even though he was very happy.
He told interalliesfc.com: “Getting the three points and getting back to winning ways was the most important thing.”
“All the same am very happy to be on the score sheet and it brought us victory, what a style to open this account.
“I’m in my second year in the league and am very happy to get a goal after all, it will be in my memory for a very long time.”
Mensah and his men will once again stage a home match against Great Olympics on Sunday at the Tema Stadium.
