Young Ghanaian international striker Fatawu Safiu saved his division 2 side Vimmerby IF from humiliation last two weeks when he scored the only goal in their league game against Smedbyvagen AIS.
The home team had a tough time but thanks to the former Inter Allies FC striker who forcefully did a great job by putting the ball at the back of the net of Smedby to hand his side the three needed points.
The fans and officials of Vimmerby IF congratulated the Ghanaian youngster to keep up his good work for the team.
Meanwhile, Fatawu’s absence in the Vimmerby squad last week caused the team as they lost their away game 3-0 to Motala. Vimmerby IF is currently placed 7th after 21 matches. They will play on Saturday at home against Ekero.
