Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin rues missed chances and his side’s inability to turn opportunities into goals during the 2-1 defeat to Sekondi Hasaacas on Saturday.
Substitute Elliasu Fusieni’s 77th minute volley was only a consolation and was not enough to earn the Eleven Is To One a point after Kojo Poku and Tenneson Opoku had scored in each half for the hosts.
“I think it was a good game we didn’t start too well but we ended the game strongly,” coach Paa Kwesi Fabin told the media his impressions after the game.
Hasaacas took the game to Inter Allies very early in the game asking a lot of questions and made it difficult for Paa Kwesi’s men to settle, coach applauded the home team for their efforts.
“We started slowly and allowed Hasaacas to dictate the game very early and took control of the first half but in the second half it was balanced but credit to Hasaacas they played ery well.”
Despite not getting the result the team wanted, the head coach took some positives especially from the display his team exhibited in the second half and feels they could have gone back to Tema with a draw if they had taken their chances.
“We really raised our game in the second half and we could have at least taken a point from the match but we missed the few chances that came our way and it’s part of the game.”
“We created some few chances in the second half but we fluffed them all and in football when you get the chances and you don’t burry them and your opponents take theirs then you’re finished.”
Inter Allies will hosts BA United at the Tema Sports Stadium and will mark the 9th week fixture of the 2014/15 league season with Paa Kwesi Fabin hoping to “bounce back” to victory.
“We are going back to the drawing board once again and then work hard to bounce back with a win on Wednesday.”
