The Capelli Boys lost 3-1 to the second string side of the senior national team, Ghana B side at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence in Prampram.
Samuel Bekoe’s 44th minute penalty goal opener later turned to be a consolation as the Black Stars B came from a goal down to beat Inter Allies on the astro turf on Thursday.
A good test match for both sides were attended by the entire Management Members of Inter Allies with Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah also present.
On a calm sunny afternoon, the game kicked off with both sides settling well, striker Kojo Dei and Abdul-Nassiru Hamzah created openings for the Capelli Boys.
Kojo Dei made a surging run in the latter part of the first half and was rewarded. Nicholas Opoku brought the down the striker in his box to make it an easy decision for the referee in the 44th minute.
Samuel Bekoe elected himself and slotted home from the spot, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to open the scoring, Allies held on until the break.
The Stars lined up differently in the second half after their coach changed the entire side that played in the first half.
Awal Mohammed levelled matters just 5 minutes after recess via spot kick. Sampson Eduku scored in the 66th to put the Stars in front before Zakaria Mumuni sealed victory in the 78th minute with a beautiful strike.
The head coach Prince Owusu used this game as an exercise to test his new strategies and also gave fringe players the opportunity to flex their muscles.
