Inter Allies are out of the 2016/17 MTN FA Cup after losing the round of 64 encounter against Liberty Professionals on Saturday at the El Wak Stadium.

The fringe players got the opportunity to enjoy some playing time as the coach made 9 changes to the side that won 1-0 against AshantiGold.

Young goalkeeper Saed Salifu, defender Emmanuel Kuzumah and midfielder Stephen Jolley had their starting debuts, Wahab Ackwei was captain of the day.

The Capelli Boys dominated the entire duration of the game with Ismeal Ntefuni and Samuel Mensah Konney causing a lot of problems for the visitors.

Saed Salifu who was having his starting debut also exhibited terrific performance, being quick to save so many goal scoring opportunities from Papa Arko and his men.

Despite being a bit purposeful and attacking all day, the ‘Eleven Is To One’ failed to convert the possession into goals and the game ended goalless.

The tie had to be decided by penalty shootouts and Liberty sailed through with a 4-2 after Abdul-Halik Hudu and Samuel Bekoe failed to connect theirs, Ismeal Ntefuni and Fard Ibrahim converted their kicks.
