Magical Samuel Boakye inspires Cedar Stars to a 5-0 win over Prestige FC at the ST Thomas Acquinas School Park.

Cedar Stars had gone two matches without a win (drawing 1-1 with Immigration and losing 2-1 to Zilina) and needed to win the game for a chance of progressing to the next stage of the Jordan Anagblah Memorial Cup.

Samuel Boakye who is on some fine form opened the scoring from the spot in the 28th minute after Emmanuel Agyemang was brought down in the box.

Adinan Ateku doubled the lead in the 37th minute with a very powerful volley from 25 yards leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

It was full show for the young Capelli Boys who dominated the larger part of the half with sweet inter-passing play.

Emmanuel Agyemang was quick to add to the tally with a 56th minute solo effort, increasing the score to 3-0, his 2nd goal of the tournament.

Substitute Klansmann Annan made an instant impact slotting home a beautiful curler in the 63rd minute before Adinan Ateku bagged his brace in the 78th minute.

A complete 5-star performance on Thursday morning saw Adinan Aateku who got a brace named the man of the match.

Cedar Stars will now wait the results between Immigration FC and Zilina FC to determine their status in the next round.
