The long awaited season started on a good note, Inter Allies dispatched Bechem United 3-0 with goals from Dan Amanfo and Victorien Adebayor, the head coach met the press and shared his thoughts at the post match conference right after the game.

The coach was first asked about his general assessment of the game. – ‘’I think our opponents played really good in the first half and we had to defend a lot but it was only in our plan and according to the second half, our plan changed and finished the game as planned.”

The gaffer also added that the main idea was to win the match and get a good start, fortunately for the team they got exactly what they wanted and preparations for the next game is already underway. – “I think it’s only one point that we had to go through, that, it was extremely important that we got through that one point, we just wanted to win this match and we have won.

It means we have the next game to prepare and a lot of rooms to improve so it’s not anything more than one match.”

He made it clear that, he was not entirely happy with the team’s fitness level even when the media praised the fitness level of his boys and urged them to do more. – “I want to make it clear in case anyone misunderstands that, the fitness is only one aspect of football so it’s important, without fitness we can’t execute anything but that’s not the only thing.

I wasn’t satisfied with how the team’s fitness level was today so we have improve not only fitness but also everything else that goes with it.”

We will go again this weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi when Allies travel for the first away game this season against giants Asante Kotoko where Kenichi would want to right his wrongs in the team.
