Inter Allies continued their dominance over Aduana Stars at the Tema Sports Stadium with a comfortable 2-0 win to commence the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League season in a match which was shared by both halves.

Striker Ropapa Mensah who had a terrific game, scored and assisted midfielder Isaac Twum to score on his debut in the first half to ensure that the visitors had no chance into the game and started the season on a very good note.

Coach Herbert Addo handed three players (Kwame Baah, Uriah Kporvi and Isaac Twum) their debut games.

Kwame Baah started in between the sticks, Simon Martey who was captain on the day due to a knock to Osei Kwame was at the right back with Abass Mohammed left on the left side.

Uriah Kporvi teamed up with Wahab Ackwei in defense, Emmanuel Nettey, Gockel Ahortor and Isaac Twum formed a fantastic midfield trio.

Lord Ofosuhene and Evans Mensah were on the right and left side of attack respectively leaving Ropapa Mensah up front.

Much expected, Aduana Stars kicked off in an aggressive way in an attempt to settle down quickly but the “Eleven Is To One” had to make futile all their attacks in the early embers to take charge of the game.

It took them little time after warming into the game to get opening goal of the season.

Lord Ofosuhene surged forward on the right side and after dummying his marker, launched a fantastic cross just to beat everyone for Ropapa Mensah to head home coolly our opening goal of the season in the 19th minute.

The goal further unsettled the visitors with Inter Allies taking total dominance over possession until the second goal.

In the 39th minute, Gockel Ahortor picked Ropapa Mensah, the latter then back heeled to set Isaac Twum up who slotted beautifully into the net.

Herbert Addo’s boys controlled the rest of the half until the mandatory half time break.

Both sides returned from the recess very cautiously, the visitors threading for no more goals to cause humiliation and Inter Allies protecting their lead.

It was the away side who dominated the half and were more purposeful but were always caught on the break.

In one of the counter attacks, Isaac Twum could have grabbed his brace after he played the ball off target from a teasing range.

Aduana Stars had series of attacks in the dying embers of the game but came to nothing after Kwame Baah and his charges at the back blocked all attacks until the final whistle.

In the end, Inter Allies got off on a winning note.
