Aduana Stars have ended Inter Allies’ unbeaten run in the second round with a 1-0 defeat at the Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa on Sunday afternoon.

The defeat came through a 30th minute strike from Richard Arhin, after he slotted home from a low cross from the left side.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin maintained the same starting line up that won 2-0 against Sekondi Hasaacas in midweek.

However, captain Joseph Aidoo was replaced by Faisal Mohammed after the former complained of ankle pains during warm up.

Inter Allies took the game to the home side from the blast of the referee’s whistle with an attacking intent that unsettled Aduana Stars.

Ropapa Mensah and Frederick Opoku Yamoah went close to opener. The former hit the side post from a long range.

Ropapa then fired again from the right side, the goalkeeper parried to the left side but Frederick Opoku Yamoah failed to tap in as he was slow to attack.

Inter Allies had their chances but didn’t turn them to goals, however the hosts had once chance and utilised it.

Richard Arhin slotted home from a teasing cross to beat Osei Kwame in the 30th minute.

Despite going down, Inter Allies dominated the entire play but failed to get a goal to record their first defeat in this second round.

Inter Allies are now 5th on the league table with 36 points with 6 more games to go.
