Inter Allies bounce back to winning ways with victory over Medeama SC

The ‘Eleven Is To One’ bounced back to winning ways with a well-deserved 2-0 win over Medeama SC at the El Wak Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Wahab Ackwei (penalty) and Hashmin Musah (header) in both halves ensured that Inter Allies grabbed a comfortable win to end our 5-game win less run.

Coach Karim Zito made changes to the side that lost to Ebusua Dwarfs last Wednesday giving youngster Mohammed Zakari his debut starting role on the right side of attack.

Saed Salifu replaced Kwame Baah in between the sticks, Paul Abanga also replaced Shaibu Haruna at right back, Isaahaku Zakari and Hashmin Musah remained in the heart of defence.

Hashmin Musah was pushed forward as he replaced suspended Antwi Kwame Amoako in the middle with Abdul Halik Hudu with Mohammed Zakari and Chekezie Alozie on the flanks.

Isaac Osae returned to the line up having missed the trip to Cape Coast to pair with Abdul Nassiru Hamzah upfront in a complete 4-4-2 formation in coach Zito’s first home game for Allies.

On a bright note the Capelli Boys commenced the game firing from all cylinders with and deservedly got a penalty in the 9th minute due to the pressing game from the beggining.

Defender Wahab Ackwei who was the captain of the day stepped up and converted from the spot calmly to claim his htird goal of the season, his personal goal scoring best in a season.

Inter Allies held on to the slender lead until the mandatory halfway break.

Allies nearly doubled the lead few minutes after recess but Abdul Nassiru Hamzah and Isaac Osae failed to connect their chances.

The Tarkwa and Mauves were forced back and were quiet due to several questions asked by the ‘Eleven Is To One’

On the 69th minute, the home fans finally got their nerves calmed after Hashmin Musah jumped the highest to nod home Wahab Ackwei’s cross to make it 2-0.

Medeama fired blank with the few chances that came their way and Allies recorded their first win after going 5 games without a win.

Abdul Nassiru Hamzah (Allies) was named the NASCO Man of the match.
