Inter Allies registered a 0-0 draw at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast against Ebusua Dwarfs to end the 2013/14 First Capital Plus league season on sixth.

On a sunny-turn-to-rainy afternoon at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast, Inter Allies ended their debut season with a goalless stalemate against Ebusua Dwarfs who eventually were relegated.

Having the FA Cup final in mind, coach Herbert Addo made eight changes to the side that beat Aduana Stars on Sunday, allowing some fringe players to get first team football.

Goalkeeper Frank Andoh, Ibrahim Alhassan, Simon Martey and Lord Ofosuhene all got the chance to have a starting role.

Being relegated already, the fans came in their numbers to support Ebusua Dwarfs who also didn’t disappoint with their play.

The home side started with quick attacks to unsettle the defense of Inter Allies.

With two rapid chances gone waste in the first five minutes thanks to goalkeeper Frank Andoh, Dwarfs attackers Frederick Boateng and Augustine Kyere had  a good partnership and looked dangerous.

The defensive pair of stand-in captain Baba Mensah and Senegalese international Dauda Diop proved to be really solid, they blocked all attacks and made it a tough day for the hosts.

It ended goalless at half time with Dwarfs slightly ahead of Inter Allies in terms dominance and chances created.

The second half started with a different story, the ‘Eleven Is To One’ boys were the better side in the early embers of the half, Lord Ofosuhene, Mohammed Sheriff and Prosper Kassim made sure the game was brought to balance.

Series of attacks saw Prosper Kassim and Sheriff Mohammed close to opening the scoring after both hit the side net each.

After a 15 minutes time of dominance from the away side, the hosts bounced back till the last minute, they attacked, created chances but still didn’t score.

A good day at his office, goalkeeper Frank Andoh pulled several saves exhibiting matured goalkeeping skills on the day. Dauda Diop also made a timely goal-line clearance in the dying minutes to deny the Dwarfs.

The back of the net was far away from both sides and it ended goalless between both sides.

Inter Allies completed their debut season (2013/14) 6th on the league log with 41 points.
