Inter Allies were held to a 1-1 draw at the Tema Sports Stadium in mid week’s match day 12 fixture of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.

Frederick Boateng came off the bench to open the scoring in the 60th minute but the lead lasted 3 minutes after Dauda Mohammed scored from the spot.

It was the first official match for newly appointed head coach Jimmy Corbblah as he made changes to the side that drew goalless with WAFA is the previous match.

Gockel Ahortor returned from national duties to start in midfield leaving Isaac Twum on the bench. Simon Martey was out due to suspension and was replaced by Abass Mohammed.

Ropapa Mensah started upfront with Sulley Mohammed and Prince Barrie was left on the right wing, Prince Baffoe and Frederick Boateng made the bench.

It was not the best of halves for both sides as the attacking machineries failed to capitalize on chances that came their way.

The highlight of them all came when Ropapa Mensah failed to bury a glorious opportunity in the 44th minute.

But the story changed in the second half, Inter Allies added a bit more bite upfront when Frederick Boateng came in for Sulley Mohammed.

He made an instant impact by opening the scoring on the hour mark. Boateng received a cross from Ropapa, he dribbled his marker in the box before slotting home nicely.

The lead was cut short, Emmanuel Nettey failed to clear an opportunity and brought Dauda Mohammed down in the box, penalty for the visitors.

Dauda Mohammed elected himself and scored from the spot, Osei Kwame did well to save but his left hand punch couldn’t save the ball.

It was all Inter Allies after that, however the ‘Eleven Is To One’ failed to add to the tally from the pressure mounted.

Inter Allies now lie 15th with 11 points after 12 games.
