Two goals from Dauda Diop and Sherrifu Mohammed in the second half ensured that the first team beat L.A. United 2-1 on Thursday in a friendly.
The reserves mixed with a couple of seniors also drew goalless with B.G Academy just after the first game.
As part of the preparations for Wednesday’s First Capital Plus Premier League game against Hearts of Oak on Wednesday, the team took the opportunity to flex its muscles in friendly games at the Legon Ajax Park.
The first game was against L.A. United from Labadi – a third division side.
Herbert Addo’s men started the match with a lot of attacks from the right flank with Talla Ndiaye and Owusu Ansah pressing in the early minutes.
Even though Inter Allies were doing all the play and creating the chances, they were finding it difficult to find the back of the net until the 59th minute mark.
Defender Diop headed home coolly after Imoro Adams had made a fantastic solo run for a sweet cross.
Soon after the first goal, substitute Sherrifu Mohammed grabbed the second goal for the team, slotting home from Lord Ofosuhene’s cross.
L.A. United got a consolation before the final whistle.
The second game started just minutes after the first match and the team was made of a lot players from the reserves with the seniors, players from the youth side (Accra Youth) also got the chance to feature in this game against B.G Academy from Dodowa.
It was a hard fought battle for both sides as no one converted chances that came up.
