Match Summary – Elmina Sharks 1-0 Inter Allies:

It was yet another defeat on the road as we lost narrowly 1-0 to Elmina Sharks at the Ndoum Sports Stadium on Sunday to clear match week 6 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League Season.

Benjamin Tweneboah’s 42nd minute penalty goal made the difference and ensured that the hosts bagged all the three maximum points.

Coach Henrik Lehm made some few changes to the side that lost to Bechem United, giving Mohammed Zakari his first start this season.

It was supposed to be the toughest game in recent times, we started with a lot of possession and controlled the game from the blast of the referee’s whistle.

Richmond Lamptey, Patrick Amarh and Mohmmed Zakari were all asking questions with long range shots, however the hosts had a good goalkeeper to deal with our efforts.

With three minutes to end the first half, Sharks scored from the spot through Benjamin Tweneboah after Ali Musah and Hashmin Musah adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.

The second half was all for Inter Allies, dominating majority of possession and creating decent chances but failed to get the equalizer as we traveled back to Accra disappointed.

The home team defended their lines very well as well as creating some chances but also failed to score to increase their tally of goals.

Elmina Sharks defender Issaka Mohammed was named Nasco’s most valuable player for his outstanding performance.
