The Chief Executive Officer of Inter Allies Football Club, Eric Delali Senaye has said that years of hard work and planning have resulted in the team’s promotion to next season’s Glo Premier League.
Inter Allies beat Danbort 2-0 on Monday to progress from Zone 3 of the Division 1 and Mr. Senaye told Citi Sports in an interview that they deserve this after putting in a lot of hard work.
” It has been a long road. We started in 1996 and we began grooming players four years and I must say that the boys have made us proud. They added value to themselves and I salute them.”
“What is even more remarkable is that they won all three games in the play-off. When was the last time a team did that in the history of Ghana football ?,” he asked.
Mr. Senaye added that despite the new challenges that the Premier League would present to his team, he chose to be optimistic at the potential benefits of playing at a higher level.
“Of course, we would have to travel a lot more and play more matches against tougher teams but it adds some value to your players. It provides a better platform for your players and there are some economic benefits in terms of sponsorship. “
“The Division One is more difficult and staying there longer only means increased frustration. Every club wants to move ahead and we are no different.”
