Our center-back Rufai Mohammed, has joined Swedish side IF Elfsborg, signing a contract that runs through the 2028 season.

Reflecting on his journey, Rufai fondly recalls his initial visit to IF Elfsborg in the spring of 2023, where he trained with the U19 squad and played matches with the U21 team.
“It was during this time that i felt a strong connection to the club and knew he wanted to return as a permanent member”, Rufai stated.

Rufai reunites with a familiar face at IF Elfsborg, Jalal Abdullai, with whom he shares a childhood connection from their village in northern Ghana. Both players received their early football education at our academy, Cedar Stars, before progressing to the first team.

Rufai brings with him a wealth of experience, having represented Ghana’s national youth teams, including a stint as captain during the WAFU tournament where Ghana’s U17 team claimed third place.

Describing his playing style, Rufai emphasizes his height, strength, and defensive prowess and states, he is eager to contribute to IF Elfsborg’s first team, whiles expressing his commitment to hard work and continuous improvement.

Rufai’s departure marks the end of a chapter with Inter Allies FC, but his legacy and determination will be remembered fondly by all.

We wish him the best, confident that he will make a significant impact on his new team.
