Second defeat in the GFA Normalization Competition, the Capelli Boys lost 3-1 to Karela United in Aiyinase on Sunday.

Young defender Abdallah Warris headed home his first goal for the senior side after Allies showed a spirited performance in a the second half.

Abraham Okyere had his first start, replacing Patrick Amarh, Alex Aso also returned to line up in place of Dan Amanfo as changes from the previous game.

It was a very difficult start to the game, Karela United with the backing of their fans had all their players attacking with either openings found. 

Goalkeeper Saed Salifu was called to duty early, he made two fine saves before Darlington Gyanfosu got one past him in the 12th minute.

Isaac Kwain volleyed in a beautiful one in the 38th minute before Patrick Yeboah ended the hosts’ first half on a very good note with their third goal in the 42nd minute.

However, things were different in the second half. The Eleven Is To One lads showed a different output from the first half with a spirited one.

Five minutes into the half and a goal was scored. Abdallah Warris jumped the highest to head home the consolation after he fought his way through the defense.

Effiong Nsungusi Jnr had a very powerful strike saved by the goalkeeper. He also saw an effort from the left blocked off the line.

A lot of attack in the half but the back of the net eluded Allies and had to leave Aiyinase with a 3-1 defeat.
