USA – Ropapa Mensah on target for Riverhounds:

The talented attacker scored his second goal of the season for his side in their 4-1 home win over New York RedBull II in the USL on Saturday evening.

Ropapa had a very bright game at the Highmark Stadium with Pittsburgh Riverhounds, once again handed a starting role upfront.

He created the club’s first goal when he was brought down in the box for penalty which was calmly converted by Mertz in the 3rd minute.

Ropapa caused a lot of trouble for the opponents and was heavily involved in another goal as he pre-assisted R. Mertz’s second goal.

To climax his day, Ropapa raced through for a split pass and slotted home beautifully in the 65th minute to put his side 3-0 up.

He was later replaced in the 77th minute by Dani Rovira, left the game with a high rating of 8.41.

The win takes Riverhounds to the top of their group.
