Inter Allies record back-to-back home victories

Inter Allies registered back-to-back victories for the first time this season with a 2-1 win over Liberty Professionals at the El Wak Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

First half goals from Abdul Nassiru Hamzah and Isaac Twum ensured that ‘Eleven Is To One’ hit double wins from two games to boost our survival campaign.

Isaac Twum and Antwi Kwame Amoako walked into the line up for Mohammed Zakari and Chekezie Alozie as changes made from the previous game.

With a well deserved start, Abdul Nassiru Hamzah opened the scoring just 29 seconds into the game to spark the few home fans and sympathizers around.

Allies held the pressure  from the visitors and added more pressure, Abdul Nassiru Hamzah showed pace and was brought down in the box which left the referee no option but to award a penalty.

Isaac Twum stepped up and sent the goalkeeper to the wrong side, slotting the ball the home calmly, making it 2-0 for Inter Allies in the 23rd minute.

Both sides failed to added to the tally until the halftime break. Liberty came from the recess a different side and dominated played and got a deserved consolation in the injury time.

Benjamin Eshun bagged the only goal for the visitors in the 95th minute but it came too little too late for them. Inter Allies held on until the final minute.

Abdul Nassiru Hamzah (Allies) was named the NASCO Man of the match.
