Goals from Frederick Boateng and Gockel Ahortor were not enough as Hearts of Oak defeated Inter Allies 3-2 at the Tema Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians rallied from two goals down to beat the ‘Eleven Is To One’ 3-2 after Frederick Boateng and Gockel had shot the team to a 2-0 lead.

Isaac Mensah got their first goal before Ibrahim Musah grabbed a brace to give the league leaders a hard fought victory to clear match day 5 fixture.

The coach made two changes from the side that drew goalless at New Edubiase last week as Haruna Seidu was replaced by Frederick Boateng on the right side of attack.

Gockel Ahortor came in for Paul Abanga to sit in front of the defenders with Isaac Twum and Prince Baffoe playing in front of him in a three-man midfield.

After a barren first half despite threatening Hearts of Oak, Inter Allies failed to find the back of the net, the main thriller was left for the second half.

Frederick Boateng bagged his second goal of the season with a very fine hard tap in, five minutes into the second half half.

Evans Mensah made a surging run on the left side and delivered a fantastic cross for Boateng to score the opener.

A little over 10 minutes later, Gockel Ahortor from a free kick over 30 yards doubled the lead, what a free kick that was.

On the 68th minute, Isaac Mensah pulled one back for the visitors before Ibrahim Musah scored in the 81st and 90th minutes to seal victory.
