Another home game, another win for the Capelli Boys at the Tema Sports Stadium with a 1-0 win over giants Hearts of Oak on Thursday afternoon.

Richmond Lamptey’s powerful drive in the 20th minute was enough to earn us the unbeaten home run in the first round.

Head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi made changes to the side that beat Immigration FC in the MTN FA Cup last week.

The visitors, Hearts of Oak made their intentions known from the beginning of the game with series of attacks after settling in well.

Allies on the receiving end, were compact at the back with Issahaku Zakari and Hashmin Musah working tirelessly to thwart Hearts’ attacks.

Richmond Lamptey silenced the fans of the visitors with a very fine goal in the 20th minute to give Allies the lead.

The midfielder received a pass from the middle and fired from distance to score his first goal of the season, his first for the Club too.

Hearts had the lion share of possession but failed to let them count, Allies stood firm to end and won 1-0.

Benjamin Agyare (Hearts of Oak) was named the NASCO man of the match.
