Inter Allies FC’s experienced player, Joseph Tekyi Menson was badly injured in the face when he featured in the 4th week premier league game against Edubiase SC in Bekwai.
Tekyi Menson was hit in the face by an Edubiase player in the 1st half of the game when he was in control of a ball, but referee Fred Andoh looked on and allowed play to continue. The veteran player was left on the pitch in pain for a while before the referee finally stopped the game for the medics to attend to him.
His injury was so bad that it affected his right eye and had to be substituted. Joseph Tekyi Menson’s early exit in the game also affected the play of Inter Allies since he was the pillar in the midfield for the team.
