Inter Allies bounced back to winning ways with a hard fought 1-0 win over Bechem United at the El Wak Stadium on a sunny Wednesday afternoon.

Wahab Ackwei’s early goal in the second half was enough for the Capelli Boys to return to victory after defeat to AshantiGold last Sunday in Obuasi.

Kwame Baah returned to the line up to be in posts, Martin Antwi, Prince Boateng and Isaac Osae also started as changes made from the previous game.

Bechem United on the other hand lined up with their talisman Amed Toure missing from their set up, leaving Hafiz Wontah Konkoni and Haji Sadiq upfront.

The pace and tempo of the game commenced on a high note, Allies got the opening chance. Wahab Ackwei headed wide from Isaac Twum’s free kick in the 8th minute.

Allies kept the pressure and nearly got the opener in the 16th minute, Antwi Kwame Amoako fired from long range, Ernest Adu failed to grab one time but Prince Boateng fluffed the rebound.

Despite the hosts dominating and enjoying the lion share of possession, they failed to make possession count until half time.

Goalkeeper Prince Asempa replaced Ernest Adu before the start of the second half, Bechem looked better after recess.

Just 10 minutes into the half, Allies were rewarded for their pressure. Prince Asempa failed to grab Prince Baffoe’s free kick and Wahab Ackwei pounced on the rebound.

The visitors bounced back in style but Kwame Baah denied the visitors of several chances. Hafiz Konkoni Wontah and his guys kept probing but their efforts went futile.

Allies held on and won 1-0, Isaac Twum was named the NASCO Man of the match.
